It's All Around Us

Evil exists. It’s everywhere. It rides on many people's shoulders. Creating havoc wherever they go. No moral conscience, no saying no. Let your bad side out. Revel in it. Rub it all over your body. Evil smells like hate. Hate stands side by side with evil. You won’t have one without the other.

What is the definition of evil? Profound immorality and wickedness. People who are evil say it sets them free. They do what they want to. They have no moral compass. Nor do they want one. 

It Jumps Out at You

Evil lurks where you least expect it. It jumps out at you. Boo! I think people can sense evil. It raises the hair on the back of their neck. Staring into the face of evil must be profoundly unsettling. Face to face with a terror unknown to most men and women. Being in the presence of Ted Bundy is being in the presence of evil. His eyes are dead, shark eyes, a predator's eyes. Charming and beguiling at first. Until you are caught in their web. Those smiling eyes turn flat and dark. 

People have different interpretations of evil. I believe animal cruelty is evil. Hurting an animal for your own pleasure. It’s evil and disgusting. That is my evil. There are plenty of people in this world who would fit my definition of evil. I’ve seen photos of animals who have been taken by an evil person. Animals have no choice. Dogs, cats get adopted. The adopter masquerades as an animal lover. Until they are alone with them. Then the evil ensues. I try not to think about it because it causes too much heartache. I once saw a video of a woman tossing puppies into a river like they were cookies. To me, she is an evil person. No empathy for animals. No love in her heart.

Babies

People who traffic children are evil. These may be the most deplorable people on the planet. Kids, six, seven years of age. Ripped from their parents and forced into a kind of hell they cannot get out of. This is evil personified. The men who covet these children are sick and evil. They have no soul; their eyes hold no compassion. Sickness breeds sickness. These types of people can all go to hell in a handbasket. They should all be eradicated and buried six feet under. There is no punishment too severe for those who traffic children. 

Why does God allow evil to exist? Why can’t evil be vanished off the face of this earth? Some people believe evil exists and it’s all part of God’s plan while others believe it arises from choices, we all make. Many believe money is the root of all evil. This aligns with trafficking children. The men who buy these children pay a steep price for them. It is a vile, insidious, disgusting trade. Evil for innocent. It doesn’t seem a fair trade, does it? 

Maybe the world is full of evil. We all fly under the radar. Escaping most of it. That is until it slaps us in the face. You think evil cannot happen to you? Think again, it can. It only takes a second. The world as you know it is gone. You are faced with an incredible challenge. Do you think you can face evil and win?

In the end we lose. Evil is here on this earth. It walks among us.
