Religion

What is your faith? What do you believe? Do you believe in another power? Do you believe in God, and the kingdom of heaven and the fiery gates of hell? 

How did you grow up? I was baptized in the Catholic religion. I am not a practicing Catholic. Nor do I choose to be one. 

I talk to God on my own time. I’ll thank him for all our blessings. The roof over our head and the food on our table. Tell him to watch over all my loved ones and all the animals. Yes, even the skunks.

Does being religious mean being pious? You strictly follow whatever religious code you believe in. You are a moral and good person. Maybe sometimes but certainly not all the time. 

Real or Fake

On social media I’ve seen photos of “religious” people molesting children. It seems to be prevalent in our society. What is happening? What is causing this? Is there a sickness running secretly throughout the religious communities? What is the cause of these men acting most certainly non-religious. When I see photos of this it makes me sick, and I say toss them in jail and throw out the key. They are not religious, they are not pious, nor morally upstanding. There is a rot inside them and they need to be taken away. Out of society, isolated and forgotten because this is what they deserve. Crimes against children are not to be forgiven, these kinds of men can descend into hell and stay there. They deserve nothing good. They live their lives in sin so the gates of hell welcome them with open arms. 

Who Are You

Whether you are Catholic, Lutheran, Baptist, or an atheist you are given the right to believe what you want to believe. As long as you keep your religion to yourself and do not impose it upon others, I’ll give you a pass. There is nothing worse than someone trying to thrust their belief on me. If you do not follow God's plan this way (my way) you will go to hell. Well, open the gates because here I come. I may sit and listen to someone give me their opinion about why I should join this religion or that religion. But, in the end I’ll make my own decision. I’ll choose my own way.

My way is talking to God on my own time. I’m not a believer in church. Many churches want to do nothing more than take your money. It’s God's will after all. No thanks, I'll keep my money and chat with God when I want to. 

We All Sin

People who profess to be religious may start their day in church. As soon as they shut the door on Sunday service they sin. So, what is the point of going to church? Hypocrites are what they are. This is part of the reason I do not attend church. People acting one way in church and a different way outside of church. Do they get nothing out of the service? If so, they shouldn’t be there in the first place. Another reason I do not attend church. I’ve listened to ministry leaders, priests, and pastors talk about God. I’ve tried to absorb what they say. It doesn’t sink in. Talking to God on my own works for me. It’s what I do and I do it on a daily basis. If I don’t forget. I’m not perfect after all. At times my life is too busy. God understands and is always willing to listen.

Whatever religion you follow is the one you are meant to follow. Otherwise, what is the point? 

Believe what you want to believe. It’s a free world.
