Do You Believe in Miracles

Do you believe? Do you believe in the unbelievable? Is anything possible in your world? Or is your view slightly slanted and distorted? Can you see the unseeable or is your vision tunnel vision? When someone relays a story that's kitty Wampus do you roll your eyes, or do you listen in wonder? Do you think to yourself, is that possible? Or do you turn away judgmental, already thinking that person has perhaps been knocked in the head a few times. Look at the photo above. Look at the joy on my sister's face. She is a miracle. We are all miracles.

What about spaceships? Do you believe? There have been presumably sightings, so they say. A burned spot on the ground where the aliens landed. Little green men with big googly eyes open the door to possibilities and somehow know our language. Maybe you’d believe it if one approached you and sucked you up in their little spaceship. Then you’d know. Enchanting and delicious the world brings forth miracles every day. You just have to open your eyes.

Maybe we should accept the unacceptable. Believe the unbelievable. Take that childlike quality we all possess and run with it. Look at the world through the eyes of a kid. Take in the wonder and everything the world has to offer. It's no fun being jaded.

Don't Be Taken In

A friend or foe coming up and telling us they have oceanfront property in Arizona may bring us pause. Those who do not know where Arizona is may be sucked in with this offer. There are always circumstances. Aren’t there? Plenty of people aren’t the smartest when it comes to certain things and can be suckered into the most ridiculous things that come their way. It is a miracle more aren't taken by a conman, a carnival barker, or a fraud.

I know there are those who give their money to billionaires. Why because he or she asks for it. Go ahead you dummies give this person who most likely has more money than you can accumulate in a lifetime, your hard-earned money. Me, no way in hell I’d be giving up what's mine. In case you don’t know I’m referring to politicians. They always seem to be asking us for our hard-earned money. They are most likely millionaires themselves. I do not see the justification. I’ve never donated, and I never will.

Daily Miracles Happen

I see miracles every day when a dog or a cat gets rescued. Animal Rescues take them out of a rotten situation and give them a chance for a better life. A bed to sleep in and a hand that's kind. One that doesn’t strike them, tie duct tape around their mouth, or forget to change their collar as they grow. Causing the collar to grow into their neck. Cruelty never ends in the dog world. They deserve so much better than us humans. Some of us are dog people, but those who are not shouldn't have a dog. To get a dog and tie them up outside is worse than putting them down. At least then they wouldn’t be suffering. Animal cruelty is something I despise with a passion.

A miracle is when a child is taken out of an abusive situation and given love and a life and a chance to grow and thrive. Love and acceptance go a long way in the heart of a child. Growing up without it causes underlying issues. I know just ask me.

Let's All Breathe

It is a miracle when I wake up in the morning breathing. At 64 years old I am living on borrowed time. So, I make the most of each and every day. If there is a ball game to go to, my husband Gary and I go. Taking our dog for a daily walk is something I do. Heading into work is also something I do. Although at times I’d like nothing more than to sit outside on our deck. Deck lounging is a miracle to me. Taking in the sun, looking at Gary sitting across from me. Thinking how lucky we both are. We found one another in this world full of people, that in itself is a miracle.

Small miracles happen every day. You plant flowers, it’s a miracle they pop out of the ground, a splash of color that lasts all summer. It is a miracle the days turn into nights, then the night turns into a new day. Someone loving you is a miracle. Accept it, revel in it, and hold onto it.

Hold Them Tight

Grandkids are a daily miracle my husband and I both enjoy the heck out of. The joy in their eyes, their wonder at the world. Their energy and excitement are catching. Live through them, tell them you love them at every opportunity.

Life itself is a miracle. A baby calf is born, a foul, or a lamb. Kittens and puppies, or a newborn baby. These are all miracles we take for granted every day. The air we breathe is a miracle. We cannot live without it. When I think about it just about everything surrounding us is a miracle.

Don’t take anything for granted. For soon it will be gone. Live life to the fullest. When you are tired and worn out, get up and get out.

Live.

Because too soon you’ll be gone. You get one crack at it. Make the most of it.
