Which Side Are You On?

Left or right, who is in the right, who is in the wrong? I believe neither side is right-someone new, younger and full of fresh ideas is desperately needed. We need to wipe the slate clean, get rid of everyone from the President on down. Do not elect the former President. A clean slate means a clean slate. It is the only way I foresee anything for the future. If the former President wins and is back in office, we will see the same things as we are seeing now. No one wins because the left and right are too busy arguing with one another to do anything to help us as people out. 

The bigger the government agency the more crooked they are. This falls on both sides of the aisle. Not only The Democratic Party, but also the Republican Party. 

Bias News Media

News media are biased, editing and reporting clips from footage out of sequence with the real event. What really happened on January 6th? I think anyone with a clear mind knows what happened. There was a violent insurrection directed at the Capitol and the members inside. Not one person can say it was a peaceful riot. We all watched live as it happened. We all watched as our sitting President did nothing for hours as people invaded the Capitol, except watch it on tv. We should all be angry, upset and disgusted with our government at this point.

It has been over two years since that terrible day. I’m absolutely sure none of us will ever forget what we were doing or where we were at the time it happened. All of us watched it unfold on tv.

The Former President

The former President held a rally inciting violence, he told his followers to march to the capitol. Stating, “we have to fight like hell otherwise we won’t have a country left.” His followers did as he asked.

Trump told people he is honest; I believe he is not. He told us all he didn’t need a paycheck because he was so rich. During his presidency money was funneled to his bank accounts, ask any secret servicemen what he charged them to stay at his hotels, don’t worry he made money off of the American people-he continues to do so. 

The Current Administration

Not to say the Biden administration is any better. The higher up you go the more crooked everyone is. The economy is tanking, division among people is at an all-time high. This President does not have the majority of the people behind him. We have killings on our streets, in our grocery stores, and in our neighborhoods. Prices are soaring on food, gas, and everything else. What can we do? One thing I will say about President Biden is that he says he wants to work for all of us whether we voted for him or not. He tries to unite, not divide. I do not believe I have ever heard those words come out of the former President's mouth. Republican only. MAGA Republican, or whatever they are calling themselves these days.

Congress Really

Let us discuss Congress and the people we voted in. In house arguing seems to be the only recourse they take. All ideas brought up by a Republican will be shot down by the Democratic Party. Reverse that. The hatred one side has for the other is palpable. It seems as if there are no moral values, nor dignity. Not one of them can come to any kind of agreement. When someone is speaking, other members shout out or interrupt. Forget about waiting until the speaker yields the floor. Getting voted in by the people, one would think they would work for us. But no, they just want to collect their paychecks and bicker back and forth. I say get rid of all of them also and start over. I do not believe I’ve ever observed such bad behavior from people who supposedly are adults. In truth, they all need to be ousted so we can start anew.

Again, what does this do for us as a society? We as people vote these congressmen and women in. Are we divided as a nation so much we cannot see how our government conducts themselves? Maybe we all need to take a step back and look properly. Social media is part of the problem. People are forever on their phones, no longer talking to one another. Only liking this or not liking that. Our kids see this and follow suit. Children at the age of nine and ten have cell phones. For what purpose? It was a much simpler time when my husband and I grew up. No cell phones, we played outside all year long. We rode bikes to see our friends, we had dirt roads and the country. The internet was a thing of the future, not even thought of. I’m beginning to think that perhaps it was a good thing.

Again, With the News

Like a lot of people Gary and I have turned away from all News Media. MSNBC, Fox News, NBC, it is all the same. Half-truths and narratives the news station wants to portray. Reporters today love ratings. Because ratings mean money. That is the bottom dollar here-money. Do not say anything controversial our viewers may leave us. Go with the flow because in the long run, viewers add up to money, which adds up to the Media staying on air. Truth is mixed in there somewhere, in bits and pieces, but I am not certain where. We see News Media now being sued for falsely reporting a story. Let us not negate the fact the falsehood has been going on for a year or so already by this time. Millions of people tune in to watch, believing everything they hear, hook, line and sinker. Learn how to fact check people.

Money-It Grows on Trees

At times I believe the government believes money grows on trees. Where does all this money they spend come from? I hear extraordinary amounts going here and there. In the millions, we as a country do have a debt. It is quite clear that debt is not shrinking at all. It is nice to help others out, but the people right here need help also. The average family makes $40,000 a year? How do they survive on that? Kids, school, food, medical care. It never ends. The rich get richer and the middle class get poorer. There will come a time when there is only the rich and the poor. Middle class will disappear.

Can We Elect Someone Who Will Help

So, I say start at the top level and work our way down. Place someone in office who has the desire to help.  Good riddance to all who hold office now. I, for one, am totally fed up with the entire bunch. Having said this, I do know that it is a pipe dream-it won’t happen. To be truthful I do not know what the answer is. Wishing the world was a different place belongs in fairy tales. The reality we face every day is shootings, racism, hatred and division. 

Is there anyone out there that has a viable solution to this madness we call America? 

Because if there is, give a shout out.

Give It to God

I guess until God intervenes, we are stuck with what we have. No solutions in sight, never ending arguments, and a deep seeded hatred for one another. This is exactly what it has come down to-it’s way past time for all of our government to grow up, seek peace, and forget the loathing they hold in their hearts. Years ago, if a different opinion was expressed, we all embraced it. This does not hold true in this ever-evolving, churning, cell phone holding world.

What happened to peace, love, and harmony?  Maybe we could give that a chance. Love one love all.
