How big Is Too Big

How big is the TV in your house? How many do you have? We have four in our house. The biggest one is in our bedroom and it's 75 inches. Totally ridiculous and morally wrong. But there it sits on the wall. Hanging in glory. My husband's constant companion. His go to. He is a TV fanatic.

Is it really necessary to have four TVs in our house? Nope, it isn’t. Granted one of them is a gaming TV and isn’t incorporated into our system like the others.

Gary Loves Watching TV

My husband Gary is an avid TV watcher. Westerns seem to be his choice of programs. Any kind will do. We recently switched to YouTube TV. The amount of westerns on it is crazy. Gary found all of them and is in seventh heaven. In between napping in his recliner, you will find him watching a western.

I’d rather read a book. Unless Gary puts on an episode of Dateline. I’m not interested. When Gary is gone and I’m by myself there is a good chance the TV won’t be turned on at all. Am I missing out? I don’t believe so. My interests lie elsewhere.

We have a TV upstairs so when the grandkids spend the night, we are most likely sleeping upstairs and watching a movie.

You Tube TV

Along with TV’s come internet and cable services. We have personally gone through three different services. Like I said earlier we now have YouTube TV.  I am quite positive the price will keep going up each year as it did with every other service we had. It will come down to us having antenna TV. Because we will refuse to pay what they are asking. It hasn’t come to that yet. But eventually it will. We will make a decision at that time.

Let's Play

Gary and I used to play Golf on our gaming TV. That is until I started getting too good. Then we stopped. My husband is slightly competitive and does not like to lose. Especially to a woman, even his wife. He would tell you that’s not the case. It’s a shame because we had a good time doing it while it lasted. Now he has a pool table in the garage. That’s an entirely different story for another time.

We do have Prime and can watch movies. We go through streaks with that. We also have Max with HBO. Movies galore there also. We got rid of Netflix because why have three different movie channels? Netflix was the most expensive, so it went down the road.

Don’t you sometimes just want to shut the TV off and revel in the silence? Or is it just me? I like quiet. The TV drives me crazy after a while. Unlike Gary who could watch all day. Although I’d take the TV over social media any day.

Gary talks quite freely about getting a 95-inch TV and putting it in our living room. Our living room isn’t large, and the TV would definitely dominate. It would be placed on our east wall. A symbol of honor. A token of peace. A,” turn me on and you won’t be sorry”, piece of society. They’ve been around for ages and will not be going away anytime soon. My husband wouldn’t know what to do with himself without one. Bless his heart. So, I guess we will be keeping all four.

TV’s.  Our secret obsession.
