A Circle Of Friends
I am a girls girl always and forever. What is life without girlfriends? I have a handful of girls who I am blessed to call friends. Each one of them, in their way, completes me. They vary in age, and they all make me smile. It doesn’t matter if I see them once a year, once a month, or every other year. Once we are together, it feels as if we were never apart. Conversations flow; an hour turns into two hours, and before I know it, it’s time to leave. It isn’t the number of friends you have; it’s the quality. Meet Connie A Girls Girl
Connie is the kind of friend who automatically makes you feel better about yourself; just seeing her face brightens my day. We speak on the telephone daily. She is my wake up call; one of the most loving, giving souls I know. She loves her family; her church; and she lives for the Lord.
Let Me Introduce Heidi
Heidi is the kind of friend who meets me for breakfast monthly. I worked retail with her, and if she weren’t there, I would not have lasted as long as I did. She rescued me more than I can thank her for when I started; coming from Law Enforcement, nothing about retail was familiar. I will never forget her telling me; “you will be fine. You are overthinking things.“ We shared the same work ethic and worked hard to please the customers. We worked together for a year; I miss her every day.
Bethany A Girls Girl
What can I say about Bethany? I worked in Law Enforcement with her. She is intelligent, clever, and witty. A go-getter who is raising two boys as a single parent. She is the strong, confident young woman I always knew she would be. Today, Bethany is a nurse, and I am incredibly proud of her.
Kay (Mom)
Kay is, in real life, my ex-mother-in-law. Since I did not have a relationship with my mother, kay is my mom. She loves me, loves my kids, and she is the kindest, most giving lady who I love with all my heart.
Who Is Marilyn
Marilyn is one of those women who I will not see for years; we meet up, and it is somehow like we were never apart. I met Marilyn when I was young, just starting, raising three kids, and working in a factory to make ends meet. She interviewed on the same day as I did, we clicked, and we never looked back. I consider her one of my closest friends.
Girls
We all have those friends who magically appear in our lives.
There are a handful of women I’d like to mention, like Jean, Bradi, Peg, Penny, Amanda, and Diane. The list goes on; all of these women, each in their way, have made an impact on my life. They have all left an imprint on my heart. I’ll be forever grateful for every single one of them.
Lastly, I’ll always be a girls girl, through and through; I wouldn’t live my life any other way!
