Are You a Sinner

Forgive me Lord for I have sinned. Repent, only if you believe you've sinned. Do we not all sin? Have we not every single one of us committed a sin at some point in our life. No one is perfect, are they? Maybe some people think they are. I’ve met a few. But in all reality, they are not. All of us have skeletons in our closets. You may have to dig a little deeper for some people. But they are there buried beneath the normalcy of their ill-gotten life.

If you ask someone if they have sinned and they say no they are lying to you.

None Of Us are Perfect

We all sin. None of us are perfect in God's eyes. That’s why he forgives us for our sins. Certain sins may be worse than others. Some people may not get the redemption they ask for. Murder is a sin I would think would be unforgivable. If you are willingly and with malice and forethought, taking the life of someone, I believe your own life should be taken. It is what I believe. You believe whatever it is you want to believe. It’s your right. I’ll stick with mine. This person who committed this atrocity should not still be breathing. Especially if it’s an innocent whose life he or she took. Such as a child, a baby, a mother. If someone just kills to kill, they need to be killed themselves. Their sins should not be forgiven nor forgotten.

Look at the beautiful face of the child above. He isn't a sinner. He is full of innocence and niceness. He hasn't been corroded or corrupted by society yet. He believes in sugar and spice and everything nice. His entire being exudes perfection, wonder, and a curiosity you lose and cannot recapture as an adult.

A Bad Seed

I do believe with every part of me some people are just born bad. They are missing the nice gene, the empathy gene. There is a short wire in their brain, and it creates chaos and destruction. It’s causing harm to those in their inner circle. They are the ultimate sinners. Their eyes are empty when you look at them. There is no soul, nothing behind their eyes but a desert wasteland. A flatness they cannot hide. Their sins are legendary. They are serial killers. They make the hair stand up on the back of your neck. Killing is like breathing to them. They can only act semi-normal for so long until the itch to take a life overrides all of their thinking. The need to mindlessly butcher another human being. To watch as the light in their eyes dims. Not only liking it but reveling in it. It is the reason they live, their reason for being.

That is not the majority of us though. Most of us are what I call light sinners. Using profanity, is that a sin? If so, I'm a sinner on pretty much a daily basis. After working in a jail for most of my life swearing comes easily to me.

Don't Steal Please

Stealing or trespassing are ordinary sins. Are they not? Where I work, I find evidence of theft almost daily. What are people thinking? They can’t afford laxatives, so they take the laxatives out of the box and hide them on their person, then shove the box under some clothes. It will be discovered at some point, but too late to do anything about it. Some people get a thrill out of stealing. They are bored with their lives, or broke or penniless. Either way they justify it to themselves to make them feel better. If they have a conscience, it will bother them. Not every one of us has a voice in their head telling them that stealing is bad. That is inheritably apparent.

Let’s all face it. We are all sinners. Not one of us is better than the other. The thing to remember is the sin you do commit. Don't make it a bad one you can’t take back. Sin lightly folks. Your life will be just fine.

Pray if that makes you feel better. He’s watching and listening all the time.
