Covid, It’s Still Here
Yes, it is still here. I have talked to people who say they have had it recently. Will it be around forever now? More like the flu but different. I know when I had it I had flu-like symptoms but worse somehow. It put me right down in bed for a day. It isn’t fun and if you have a compromised immune system watch out many people have died because of it.
Does It Matter
Does it really matter where it started, where it came from? It’s here and we all have to deal with it. Our wonderful government tries to make a huge deal out of where it came from. The fact of the matter is it surrounds us. People are still dying from it. I remember when it was at its peak. So many people were hospitalized and dying by themselves because family members were not allowed to see them. It was the saddest thing ever.
Your Choice
Whether you are vaccinated or not is your choice. But if my immune system was not good. I would be the first one standing in line waiting for a shot. People are trying to say more people are dying from getting the shot than of covid. I find that hard to believe. Since so many died in 2020. Getting or not getting the shot is a personal choice. Yours to make not anyone else's. My husband and I have gotten two shots and one extra shot. But we made the choice not to be vaccinated four times. It will be a yearly thing just like the flu shot. If you believe the CDC, covid is here to stay so protect yourself.
People get pretty heated when discussing it. You believe what you want to believe and so will I. Many are unvaccinated which is their choice. Many thought wearing masks didn’t help. I was a mask wearer and so was my husband. You couldn’t enter a hospital without one on. Or if you didn’t have one, they would supply one. It isn’t that way anymore. Although I still see people out and about wearing a mask. Once again, it is their choice. I couldn’t stand wearing the mask. It made it hard for me to breathe. I hated the thing. Did it protect me? Yes, it did. It also was nice if I had a cold sore, no one could see the dang thing. I liked it for that. It did come with its perks. But I am glad that time has passed for most of us.
Conspiracy Theories
There are many conspiracy theories floating around about covid. There are many questions people want answers to. Did Dr. Fauci do his job? What about Dr. Birx? Getting the vaccines out quickly to try to stop people from dying was top priority. It was too late for many though. Hospitals were running out of room for people. Many left lying in hallways, some on ventilators. The entire thing was a mess from the beginning. Handled badly, many people died with no one to comfort them. It was a hard time for our country. Now four years later we still deal with covid. New strains are found, more deadly than the one before it. Get your shots, get your shots. I’m tired of the whole thing. Gary and I are done with the shots. Will we get a yearly one? Most likely I will not. Gary may, that's up to him. He does get the flu shot. I’m not good with shots or vaccines. I get sick from them. So, if it isn’t mandatory I won’t get one. Enough said. My body, my choice. That’s a whole different post. My body, my choice.
We all have to live together. I’d rather do it covid free. But it seems as if for now the stupid virus is hanging around just to irritate all of us.
At least we can all agree on one thing. Covid is a pain in the butt.
Live your life how you want to.
