Cry Baby Cry
Have you ever known anyone who cries at the drop of a hat? All of us have that one friend. The one who cries when she sees us and cries when she leaves us. She is a crier.
Soft Hearted to the core. A people’s person who loves her family and the community she or he lives in. Normally when we see criers, it is a female we talk about. Although I do believe some men are soft hearted.
Females often think more with their heart than men do. Just my opinion people don’t get all up in my face. Men are more logical than women. They don’t have the same emotions.
Female Emotions
They say women cry 30 to 65 times in a year. One of my friends I can believe that about. Not me though, I do not normally cry. On occasion maybe but not often. There is a wall around my heart that’s hard to penetrate. I keep it there for that purpose. Crying is a waste of time. Pull up your bootstraps, put on your big girl panties and face the world. It’s go time.
A lot of guys get uncomfortable when they see a woman cry. Many do not know how to react or console. Maybe they have a sensitivity gene missing.
Crying for long periods of time releases oxytocin and endogenous opioids. Leaving your body in a numb stage. Oxytocin can give you a sense of calm, and yes, I googled all this.
Is it good to cry? Experts say so. It releases anxiety and stress in your body and can lessen pain.
I Don't Cry
Me, myself, I cannot remember the last time I cried. It wasn’t when I broke my wrist. That was more of a nauseating feeling. Maybe a funeral, but no I remember it was when we had to put our Jack Russell down. I sobbed like a baby. Did it help me? I have no idea, but I know I couldn’t stop for months. Life goes on though and in time we feel better, but we do not forget. We will never forget that dog. He was a part of our family for so long and will always be remembered.
They say it’s better to cry than hold it in. Like I said it releases stress and anxiety.
Some people cry in front of others while some will not. I am one of the will not ones. My friend is one of the ones who will. She cannot help herself.
Depression
To cry on a daily basis may be a sign of something else going on. Depression makes us sad and will bring on buckets of tears if you let it. I do not understand depression. My brain isn’t wired that way. But I know it’s a serious health issue some people cannot seem to overcome. Depressed people silently cry. Alone and by themselves they find it hard to express their feelings. Oftentimes headed down the wrong path of shadows and darkness. Depressed people cannot see the light. Their world is dark and dangerous. Depression is nothing to be taken lightly and those who suffer from it should seek help.
If I were to cry, I would cry alone. No one would know. I’d feel better after it was over and get up and face another day. I’m not a crier. Is this a good thing or bad thing? Do I keep everything bottled up inside? Perhaps. We all have our own issues do we not?
Let’s all face it, we all cry on occasion. Some of us more than others. Some of us are embarrassed when we cry, some could care less who sees us cry.
Bullies We All Know One
As a child the school yard bully was the one who made other kids cry. Knowing what I know now this bully most likely had a bad home life as well. Be strong, be bigger. Make others cry and you won’t cry yourself. Is this a true statement? I don’t believe so.
I prefer to look on the sunny side of life. If one thing doesn’t work out there is always something else around the corner waiting for you. One door opens and another one closes.
Don’t cry, it makes your eyes puffy and your skin blotchy.
Smiling causes less frown lines.
